Summary
[edit]El Señor de la Misericordia is the name commonly given to a devotional crucifix such as this one. Crucifix: white loincloth, gold-colored sun-burst diadem; wood, wig, metal diadem, gold fabric loincloth, about 10" (25 cm.). Sorrowing Mother: Wimple, veil, blue and gold robe; Wood, gesso, paint, about 8" (20 cm.). Mary Magadalene: gold-colored robe, red stole; wood, gesso, paint, about 7" (18 cm.). St. John: brown hair in "biblical" style, moustache, long green robe, red mantle; wood, gesso, paint, about 10" (25 cm.).
