Summary
[edit]DescriptionMitcham Junction in 1979 - geograph.org.uk - 559830.jpg |
English: Mitcham Junction in 1979 A 2-EPB unit calls with a service from Wimbledon to West Croydon. Trains no longer run on this route, having been replaced by trams in summer 2000. Considering that the trains only ran every 45 minutes, whereas the trams run about every 7 minutes, it is no surprise that passenger numbers have greatly increased. Furthermore, the trams provide a through service into the centre of Croydon which is where most people want to go. |
