English: Miranda House, Grafton Way Although ostensibly a typical late 18th century terraced house, similar to many others in this district, no. 58 Grafton Way is a building of special importance to the people of Venezuela. It was here that General Francisco de Miranda lived, organising his country's independence movement, before setting off in 1810 for his second attempt to liberate Venezuela. The house was acquired by the Government of Venezuela in 1978 and now houses the Embassy's cultural centre.
