Description Mirah's voice is deep and beautiful and the majority of her songs are soft and pretty. For those with a penchant for pretty acoustic singer songwriters, she has a devout following. I hadn't heard of her before a few months ago--and yet the Bowery Ballroom was filled to the brim on Saturday night with Mirah devotees. I liked all of her songs. But the songs that stood out, the ones that I remember, were the numbers in which she didn't play guitar, when she sang and danced and fronted an ever-growing backing band. Her encore was a disco rendition of the song "Gone are the Days" from her most recent album (a)spera.
