Galego: O monte da Curota, marca o extremo sur da serra do Barbanza, de milenaria tradición pastoril.Este é un dos máis relevantes miradoiros de Galicia e un dos máis espectaculares das Rías Baixas. Na paisaxe marítima destacan unhas estruturas flotantes, chamadas bateas, destinadas ao cultivo de mexillón. España é o segundo produtor mundial deste molusco e a ría da Arousa é o lugar con maior número de bateas do país. Nas últimas décadas os portos desta baía modernizáronse e hoxe reciben barcos de moi diversa procedencia, como os que descargan atún na Pobra do Caramiñal, mercadorías en Vilagarcía de Arousa ou variada pesca diaria en Ribeira. A industria conserveira e o marisqueo,de longa tradición na comarca, continúan a ser unha importante fonte de traballo e de riqueza. Todo isto faise nun ambiente natural que debe manterse produtivo e equilibrado para que siga alimentándonos.
