22 Richmond, la., A fay JO and J), June 1, 2 and 3, 1907. others who will arrive this morning, the seventeenth reunionwill open to-day with a promise of exceeding all others in thehistory of the organization. AVriters of fact and fiction delight to say and sing ofthe thin gray line which is fading slowly away, but to thoseprivileged to watch the jnany commands of old soldiers whichare invading this city, the gray line seems anything but thin,and the evidences of fading away are entirely lacking. It is a sight to stir the blood and warm the heart—thesebands of Veterans marching once more along the streets ofthe city which was long ago the capital of the Confederacy.
