Description

O ministro Sérgio Sá Leitão participou nesta quinta-feira (1), em São Paulo, de reunião com representantes do Conselho da Cinemateca Brasileira e coordenadores do órgão, que integra a estrutura da Secretaria do Audiovisual (SAv) do Ministério da Cultura (MinC). Entre os temas da reunião, estiveram a preservação e digitalização de acervos, missão primordial da Cinemateca.

O ministro Sá Leitão informou aos presentes que o MinC está elaborando um conjunto de linhas de financiamento, via Fundo Setorial do Audiovisual (FSA), exclusivas para isso. "Precisamos ter maneiras de digitalizar e preservar o que vem por aí e também resolver a questão do passivo de produções anteriores", afirmou. Um dos planos do MinC, adiantou o ministro, é que todos os projetos que recebam recursos do FSA tenham a obrigação de repassar à Cinemateca versões digitalizadas das obras.

Sá Leitão ressaltou que a digitalização das obras audiovisuais brasileiras pode representar importante fonte de recursos para a Cinemateca. "Nos Estados Unidos, há empresas que distribuem e comercializam filmes produzidos em Hollywood. Eu sonho em ter uma divisão na Cinemateca que faça o mesmo com os filmes brasileiros", destacou o ministro.
