| Description |
English: Minewatchers' Post. Counting from west to east, this is the second of three minewatchers' posts that are located along the northern shore of the River Clyde between Bowling Outer Basin and the Erskine Bridge.
Its role is described in the description of the first of the posts: 1481085. However, that first structure has only one entrance, and an internal wall that extends most of the way from the side of the door towards the opposite wall. The second and third structures are similar to each other, but are different from the first one: they both have two entrances, located on opposite walls; a shorter internal wall extends from beside each entrance. Since the second structure (shown here) is missing its front wall, these internal walls are exposed to view: 1493373. For the third of the posts, see: 1493378. |
