[edit]DescriptionMinehead railway station viewed from beyond the buffers - geograph.org.uk - 1767650.jpg |
English: Minehead railway station viewed from beyond the buffers Minehead is the western terminus of the West Somerset Railway, the longest preserved passenger railway in the UK. The railway tracks end next to the pavement. In view is the back of the tender of former Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway locomotive number 88. To the right of the tender is The Buffer Stop, a shop selling railway souvenirs and gifts, and the ticket office.
The ice cream shop on the right is doing good business on a bright day in early spring. |
