English: Minarii Chantal Galenon Taupua, Vice President of French Polynesia attended the Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial on the afternoon of Wednesday, 26 June 2024.The Vice President was met on arrival by Captain Le Roux Defence Attaché to Australia from the French Embassy in Australia, Major Victorien Bachelier, French Liason Officer to Australian Army HQ, Chef de bataillon, and Department of Foreign Affairs Samoa and French Pacific Section Desk Officers Meg Somers and Thomas Hayes.The Last Post Ceremony was held in the Commemorative Courtyard within the Australian War Memorial. Wreaths were laid by Vice President Taupua, Captain La Roux and Major Bachelier, members of the public, and students from visiting schools. |
