English: Milverton: Town Mills. Privately owned, these mills would have supplied Milverton with its flour in the 18th and 19th centuries. They stand at the end of a no-through road and were powered by a leat from a weir on the Hillfarrance Brook, half a mile upstream at ST115269. There were two internal overshot waterwheels, driving two sets of machinery. One of the wheels survives in situ |
