| Description |
English: Milton Island. The photograph was taken from the area that is known as Milton Island, although its appearance at low tide, as shown here, is as a number of separate rounded grassy areas, such as the one visible in the foreground.
In Roy's Military Survey (1740s-50s), it is called Green Inch, a name that does seem quite appropriate. For the various structures that are visible in the background, see 1805668. |
