Description
English: Milt Heflin, Chief of the Flight Director Office, monitors data in the Station (Blue) Flight Control Room in Houston's Mission Control Center (MCC) during launch activities of the Soyuz TMA-5 spacecraft in Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The Soyuz spacecraft, which carried astronaut Leroy Chiao, Expedition 10 commander and NASA ISS science officer; cosmonaut Salizhan S. Sharipov, Russia's Federal Space Agency flight engineer and Soyuz commander; and Russian Space Forces cosmonaut Yuri Shargin to the International Space Station (ISS), launched October 14, 2004 and docked with the Station on October 16.
