Summary
[edit]DescriptionMills type milepost near Upnor Castle - geograph.org.uk - 223304.jpg |
English: Mills type milepost near Upnor Castle. A change from the normal, this colourfully decorated road sign adds character to the village.
Had I investigated the sign further, I would have discovered some writing on it stating that it was one of 1000 such mile posts founded by the Royal Bank of Scotland to mark the creation of the National Cycle Network. This post is part of National route 1, which goes all the way from Dover to London and then up the east coast of the country to Edinburgh and on to John o'Groats, Orkney and Shetland. |
