Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Kronshtadtskoe Highway proper ends at the Fort Shantz (Sconce). The fort, existing in its modern incarnation since the late 19th century, is a tall earth rampart with numerous concrete fortifications, stretching across the width of the island (about 500 meters). About a quarter of the fort is occupied by the military unit no. 03051, an electronic warfare squadron. It looks fairly cool from the outside. Russian flags, lots of military equipment, soldiers walking around, even their voices can be heard. In front of the squadron checkpoint is the final stop of the bus number 2kr; this place is the farthest one that can be reached by bus from Kronstadt (the timetable is sparse though).
