Original Caption: Funeral of twelve American victims of the disaster of the Otranto, at Belfast, Ireland. Funeral procession leaving Victoria Barracks and approaching Royal Avenue on the way to the city cemetery where a special plot has been set aside for American soldiers. The procession started from the barracks mortuary at 2:30 o'clock, the soldiers with arms reversed, marching in single file behind the gun carriage. Several military bands marched in the procession, playing the Dead March from Saul and other funeral selections. Photographer: American Red Cross (English)
