Summary
[edit]DescriptionMilestone, Dunchurch - geograph.org.uk - 1100752.jpg |
English: Milestone and market cross at Dunchurch, Warwickshire. The base is medieval, built as a market cross. The current shaft was added in 1813 as a milestone. Dunchurch is on the former coaching route between London and Holyhead. The stone shows distances to both places on its north face. The former coaching inn, the Dun Cow, is on the far side of the road. |
