Description
  • Italiano: Casa Ciani in corso Venezia (angolo via Boschetti) a Milano. Detta anche "La Casa Rossa" per le sue decorazioni in cotto di Andrea Boni che ne coprivano quasi l'intera superficie della facciata, fu costruita in due tempi diversi (la facciata corta fu decorata prima dell'unità d'Italia, la facciata principale fu terminata nel 1862) rivestendo con un'unica facciata più edifici, e fu demolita nel 1928. A parziale salvataggio dalla distruzione di quello che era stato uno degli esempi più estesi e significativi dell'uso della terracotta architettonica a Milano, la Sovraintendenza riuscì ad imporre almeno che gli strombi di una porta e due finestre fossero conservati nel cortile dell'edificio sorto al suo posto, dove si trovano tuttora.
