Protasio vestiti come imperatori bizantini, gli arcangeli, Santa Candida, SantaMarcellina e San Satiro, Milano con S, Ambrogio nella basilica Fausta trasportatoin ispirito a Tours e, in questa città, le esequie di S. Martino alle quali assistequel santo. Opera rozza di forme ma degna di studio è il pulpito nella sua varia decora-zione scolpita a leoni a ununica testa, e abbinati ad animali bizzarri e a cariatidi,.

Più degna dattenzione po-trebbe essere la porta in legno del tempio, a molteplici istorie figurate, se non fosse.stata troppo restaurata : un frammento esente da restauri è nellarchivio capitolareo offrì argomento al Goldschmidt per ritenere la antica porta anteriore di qualchedecennio a quelle di S. Sabina in Roma (430) e prodotto di unarte locale dintaglio,come vorrebbe lo Strzygowski, quando Teodosio fissò nella città la sede dellimperodecaduta poi rapidamente col sormontare dellimportanza politica di Ravenna. Lan-tica tradizione secondo cui la porta attuale sarebbe la medesima che SantAmbrogioaveva chiusa in faccia a Teodoro non visse più che nel cuore dei fedeli.
