Description
English: Camp Arifjan, KW - Team Doha's Jamie Poston is congratulated by coach Mike Jarvis and teammates after sinking two clutch free throws with :00 seconds on the clock to send the game to double overtime Aug. 31. Doha won the game in double overtime 56 to 49 over Team Ali Al Salem, but lost to Team Arifjan in the championship game. Operation Hardwood "hoops with the troops" is a double-elimination basketball tournament made up of teams of servicemembers from the eight Kuwait military camps. Each team is coached by an NCAA basketball coach, who flew over seas to coach and mentor the teams as well as visit with the troops.
