Saxofonist Miguel Zénon uit Puerto Rica heeft diverse Grammy nominaties op zak, bracht platen uit op het label van Branford Marsalis en stond op het podium met SF Jazz Collective, Vanguard Orchestra en het sextet van David Sánchez. Op zaterdagmiddag 4 december is hij na zes jaar eindelijk weer eens terug in Paradox met zijn Miguel Zénon kwartet. Hoewel hij opereert uit vanuit New York, is de saxofonist sterk beïnvloed door zijn Puerto Ricaanse roots. Zenón staat bekend om zijn rijke toon, krachtige spel en vindingrijke improvisaties. Als componist richt hij zich vaak op de cultuur van zijn geboorteland Puerto Rico en van de Puerto Ricaanse gemeenschap in zijn woonplaats New York. Zo is zijn recente album El Arte Del Bolero gewijd aan de bolero, de alom geliefde dansmuziek uit de jaren vijftig.
