Español: Monumento erigido a la memoria del coronel inglés George Thompson (1839-1878), en la colonia que lleva su nombre, dependiente de la municipalidad de Ypané.
Thompson fue un ingeniero británico que ejerció su profesión en el Paraguay, al servicio de los presidentes Carlos Antonio López y Francisco Solano López. Fue especialmente conocido por su participación en la construcción de defensas durante la Guerra de la Triple Alianza, tras la cual dejó escrito su testimonio sobre la misma. |
