Mighty Wurlitzer at the Roaring 20's Pizza & Pipes restaurant - Ellenton, Florida
A "Mighty Wurlitzer" organ at the Roaring 20s restaurant in Ellenton, Florida. The restaurant used the term "Pizza and Pipes." It served pizza (good but expensive), but the real reason to come was the show on the Wurlitzer. Roaring 20s closed in 2010. :-( The organ itself is just a start. There were many other musical devices (even bird calls) which the organist operated, around the entire room. Wurlitzer organs were built in theaters, churches, and other public places in the 1910-1940 period. It was the most famous product of Rudolf Wurlitzer Co., which made a broad line of other musical instruments. References
