Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Middle Lock at Fradley, Staffordshire Trent and Mersey Canal.

There is a flight of five locks at Fradley Junction, together dropping the water level by 35ft 8in (just under 11 metres) and this isn't the middle one!

This flight, which takes the canal past the junction with the Coventry Canal can be very busy during the summer, not least because because there is a very popular pub right opposite the junction. If you're boating up here, be prepared to be gongoozled! There are often children watching by the pub outside tables, so mind your language at the junction as you suddenly find another boat is zooming out of the Coventry Canal from the right, and keep your waving hand at the ready ;-)
