Summary
[edit]DescriptionMiddle-grade Imbecile E.jpg |
English: Case E. — F. B. Boy; 9 years old. At 5 years, was small, well-
formed, light hair, blue eyes ; was cleanly in habits, and spoke quite distinctly. Gentle, obedient, quiet, indolent ; absolutely without fear. Powers of attention, imitation, and memory fair. In school learned to read, write and cipher, and was excellent in military drill. Later became restless and erratic, and having reached his limit in school, was finally taken out as an aid in the sewing room and laun- dry, where he distributes clothing, darns stockings, runs errands, etc., always under supervision. Almost nothing is known of family his-tory, except that the father was a janitor in the alms-house. |
