Description
Norsk bokmål: Middelverdi for strålingsbalansen i toppen av atmosfæren fra ekvator mot Nordpolen. Omtrent samme forhold gjelder fra Ekvator mot Sørpolen. Enheten er kWh per kvadratmeter per døgn (24 timer). Grafen viser at det er et netto overskudd av strålingsenergi (kortbølget stråling fra solen, langbølget ut fra jorden) ved ekvator, mens det er netto energitap ved polene.
English: Mean value of the radiation balance at the top of the atmosphere from the equator to the North Pole. About the same ratio applies from the Equator to the South Pole. The unit is kWh per square meter per day (24 hours). The graph shows that there is a net excess of radiant energy (short-wave radiation from the sun, long-wave from the earth) at the equator, while there is net energy loss at the poles.
