Title
Microlith : Mesolithic
Description
English: A complete flint Lithic implement of possible Mesolithic date (7000-4000 BC). The lithic is sub-triangular in section and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains two predominant negative scars and corresponding arrises and retains a minor amount of cortex along the left hand edge. The proximal edge has been abruptly blunted and all other edges have some semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is predominantly smooth with deep ripples of percussion emanating from the proximal end. This lithic retains a minor amount of cortex and is therefore a secondary flake.

The flint is a mid-grey in colour with dark grey inclusions throughout. The cortex is cream in colour.
