Microglossum fumosum (Peck) E.J. Durand Image location: West Lebanon, New Hampshire, USA Microglossum rufum Notes: This small cluster was growing on the edge of a hiking trail. The trail came to an open field of knee high grass. They were right in the middle of this field in direct sunlight, but they still appeared to be moist and fresh. Approximate dimensions (for the largest specimen in group): Height: 1 1/2 in. Width (stalk): 1/2 cm. The Head was slightly larger than a kernel of corn Recognized by sight
