Microburin : Mesolithic
Description
English: Nine complete flint micro burins of late Mesolithic date (6300-4300 BC). The lithics range from ovate to sub-rectangular in profile. Seven of the micro burins have a single tapered pointed aspects at the distal end, two have double pointed facets at the distal end. Three of the lithic retain a minor portion of cortex, all have been invasively flaked and have all been retouched. Four of the lithics retain a blub of percussion while seven have cracking ripples on the ventral surface.

The flint colours range from brown to grey and cream, the cortex cream in colour.
