Title
Microburin
Description
English: Flint microburin, oblong in plan and rod shaped in profile. The dorsal side has snapped distal and proximal ends and long medial ridging. The right margin has a finely serrated edge with two notches on the lower end. The left margin has notches on the lower and upper areas. The ventral side has a faint hinge fracture on the distal end and retouch on the left upper margin.

The flint is translucent dark brown with a secondary dark beige cortex. It appears to be Beer Head flint.

Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 147, Fig. 5.98, L. 47 which is dated to the Mesolithic period.
