Title
Microburin
Description
English: The ventral face has clearly defined, close ripples and the proximal end has been snapped across the bulb. There is no retouch on the ventral face. The dorsal face has invasive retouch, creating a very sharp, but irregular long distal margin.

The flint is dark brown to translucent orange with tertiary cortex and of unknown origin, but probably a local beach pebble.

Butler 2005 illustrates a similar piece on Page 91 Fig 34 Nos 10 which he calls a microburin miss-hit, dated the Mesolithic.
