Sculpture Acier intempérique, acier galvanisé Commande publique de la Ville de Montréal

Deux sculptures de couleur ocre composent l'oeuvre de Michel de Broin, Dendrites. Les sculptures, qui se distinguent par leur taille et leurs sinuosités, évoquent de très grands arbres dont le tronc et les branches émergent du sol et se déploient en escalier.

Faisant référence à la transmission d’impulsions électriques qui forme la pensée, Dendrites propose aux passants de grimper dans ses branches et l’invite ainsi à contempler d’un autre point de vue le paysage qui s’offre à lui. Telles les feuilles d'un arbre, les passants participent à l’animation de l’œuvre ; ils habitent entièrement le paysage.

Dendrites s’inscrit parfaitement dans le projet de réaménagement du site Bonaventure qui vise à réduire la place accordée à l’automobile par la création d’une promenade sinueuse mettant l’humain et la nature à l’honneur.
