Description
From the auction notes: The portrayed are the manufacturer Christen Niemann Rosenkilde Sødring (1852–1929) and Margrethe Henriette Rosenkilde Sødring, née Hornemann (1861–1942). Ancher did also paint a double portrait of the couple. “After the last battue”, from 1905, is owned by Skagens Museum (inventory no. 309). ("Hjem fra jagten" is also known as "Efter sidste såt").
