Deutsch: Stadtplan Frankfurt, 1893: Die Hauptwache, damals Schillerplatz, der Mittelpunkt der Frankfurter Neustadt. Die Börse und das Gutenbergdenkmal (am Rossmarkt) stehen bereits an ihrem heutigen Platz, das städtische Theater zog 1914 in einen repräsentativen Neubau in der Gallusanlage. Das Thurn-und-Taxis-Palais war von 1815 bis 1866 Sitz des Deutschen Bundestags. English: Frankfurt city map, 1893: Hauptwache, the central square of modern Frankfurt, then named Schillerplatz. The Börse on the northern edge of the map is the newly-opened Frankfurt Stock Exchange still well-known today. Thurn and Taxis Palace (north of Schillerplatz) was the seat of the German Confederation between 1815 and 1866. |
