Summary

English: This is the car I used while in Mexico, a Chevrolet C2. A very basic car, no airbags, air conditioned, automatic and I also rented a portable GPS. 6 days for $288 US.
Based on things I had heard about driving in Mexico I almost did not rent a car. The main highways are great although some back roads had many pot holes. Speed bumps are everywhere, mainly around communities and they are big. I took many back roads and was in the middle of no where at times, and had no problems at all, the people were very friendly. Remember I was by myself so I would have been a great target for anyone who wanted to do anything to me but I was never worried. Now I could start doing what I wanted from this trip, seeing Mayan Ruins. Next stop the ruins at a place called Muyil, very small site. I love archaeological sites and history and understand that many people don't. |
