Description
Deutsch: Mettmann, Düsseltal südlich von Gut Holz (Diepensiepen 9), Holzer Flößwehr, von dessen ehemaliger Existenz noch aus dem Wasser ragende, sauber zugehauene große Steinblöcke am rechten Bildrand zeugen, desgleichen die Ziegelstein-Einfassung des Wasserlaufs. Schräg durch die linke untere Bildhälfte zieht sich eine Rinne, die das Relikt des Zuleitungskanals ist, der bei geschlossenem Wehr das dem Nebenarm der Düssel entstammende Wasser in ein Verteilsystem aus Rieselgräben umleitete, das die Wiesen entlang der Düssel zum Nutzen der anliegenden Viehhalter wässerte und düngte.
