| Description |
English: Methil Power Station. The power station had been on a "care and maintenance" basis for several years when this photograph was taken from the Bayview field and most of the railway sidings inside the compound had been taken away. When in use latterly, the station had burnt coal slurry and had also experimented with such exotic materials as chicken manure. The large gantry affair enabled a couple of cranes with grabs to transfer the fuel from either railway wagons or lorries, depending on the source of supply. |
