[edit]DescriptionMetal Army Object bearing the Serial Number of the Women's Army Corps.jpg |
English: Steven Geukens of Mol (Belgium) is a Metaldetector Hobbyist who found this precious Army object near a Bunker next to a canal at "De Blauwe Kei" in Lommel (Belgium). He tracked the prefix down so he knew that
the object belonged to the Women's Army Corps who also served in Europe thus also in Belgium during the World War. The number on it is "A 105 (*THE FOURTH NUMBER IS 3 OR 8)56. The one letter prefix A was used for the Women's army corps. Later he donated it to the "Erfgoed" department of Lommel. Quote from Steven Geukens:" this object is the first one of this kind that i encounter in all the years that i search". |
