Summary
[edit]DescriptionMessack Farm, St Just in Roseland - geograph.org.uk - 780443.jpg |
English: Messack Farm, St Just in Roseland The Messack Farm Estate has been opened up to the public thanks to a generous bequest by the Menhinick family which enabled the National Trust to buy the land.
Looking at this scene it is hard to imagine that an 18C plan would have turned this coastline into a second Southampton with docks, warehouses and railway yards. Thankfully investors chose to put their money into the village of Smithick across the water, subsequently to become the Port of Falmouth. |
