Mesolithic or neolithic: Tranchet axe
Description
English: A mesolithic tranchet axe found in the Reading area of the Thames.

The axe is made from a grey-buff flint patinated mottled olive-brown/ochre. It has a slightly S-shaped body and a truncated butt. A small patch of cortex remains.
