Title
Mesolithic Microburin
Description
English: A flint probable microburin dating from the Mesolithic Period, about 10,000 BC - 4000 BC. It is formed on a light grey flint tertiary blade which is a little water worn. It is sub-triangular in plan with a tapering proximal end. It has a snapped oblique distal end, with some removals to create the notch at the left side of the distal end. It is 19.7mm long, 8.7mm wide and 2.1mm thick. 0.37g.

A microburin is the waste produce from notching and then snapping a blade to create a microlith.
