Title
Mesolithic Microburin
Description
English: A flint probable microburin dating from the Mesolithic Period, about 10,000 BC - 4000 BC. It is formed on a mottled light grey flint tertiary blade. It is sub-oval in plan with a pointed proximal end. It has a snapped oblique distal end, with some removals to create the notch at the left side of the distal end. It is 21.5mm long, 7.8mm wide and 1.8mm thick. 0.24g.

A microburin is the waste produce from notching and then snapping a blade to create a microlith.
