Summary
[edit]DescriptionMesmerizing wave.jpg |
English: Reyna had to perform a wave experiment in the wave tank (on the left). The objective was to capture how the waves would behave once the top part of the wave would have gained more speed respect to the bottom part. Different wave speeds were captured that day.
Here Reyna is looking at the approaching wave (on the left) while it reaches the point where it will be recorded by the camera (the white glass). We had a chance to talk about her work a lot since we had to wait almost 10 minutes between each iteration of the experiment. As she explained, the wave would bounce back and forth on both walls and this would have created interference with every subsequent iteration if we had not waited some time. Image taken at the wave lab, University of Oslo, Niels Henrik Abels hus. |
