Description
English: Rusnas machines are machines made by BPPT that are funded by the government, said RUSNAS itself, which stands for National Strategic Leading Research and is currently known as the engine of the GEA car. This engine runs on gasoline, has 2 cylinders and a capacity of 640 cc. The manufacture of this machine took approximately seven years (2002-2009). In 2009 this machine has received roadworthiness certification from the Science and Technology Research Center, Serpong, Tangerang. According to Nyoman Jujur (Head of National Strategic Leading Research), the total research cost for the manufacture of this machine is US $ 300-400 thousand (Rp. 3-4 billion). For the record in developed countries, to create a machine prototype, research funding reaches US $ 10 million.
Bahasa Indonesia: Mesin Rusnas adalah mesin buatan BPPT yang dibiayai oleh pemerintah, kata RUSNAS sendiri adalah kependekan dari Riset Unggulan Strategis Nasional dan saat ini dikenal sebagai mesin dari mobil GEA. Mesin ini berbahan bakar bensin, bersilinder 2 buah dan berkapasitas 640 cc. Pembuatan mesin ini memakan waktu kurang-lebih tujuh tahun (2002-2009). Pada 2009 mesin ini sudah mendapat sertifikasi laik jalan dari Pusat Penelitian Ilmu Penge­tahuan dan Teknologi, Serpong, Tangerang. Menurut ­Nyoman Jujur (Ketua Riset Unggulan Strategis Nasional), total biaya riset untuk pembuatan mesin ini US$ 300-400 ribu (Rp 3-4 miliar). Sebagai catatan di negara maju, untuk menciptakan satu prototipe mesin, dana risetnya mencapai US$ 10 juta.
