Nederlands: Objectgegevens Titel: Merklap of memoriestuk gewerkt in kruissteek in gekleurde wol op grof wit katoen met tekst, gemerkt “GVB AVT 1894” Beschrijving: Grote bijna vierkante lap van een grof geweven wit katoenen stramien in mattingbinding. Op de lap is geborduurd in wol in felle kleuren als donkerrood, vuurrood, felroze, wit, lichtgroen, donkergroen, zeegroen en turquoise. Op de voorzijde zijn de kleuren echter zeer verbleekt en doet bijna pastelkleurig aan, uitgezonderd delen van de tekst. Rondom als kader is een rand met bloemtakken geborduurd in een vrije weergave. Middenboven een kleine ronde bloemenkrans met aan weerszijden initialen, links "GVB" en rechts "AVT" en recht eronder het jaartal "1894" Daaronder in oorspronkelijk rode wol maar nu tot roze verbleekte wol de tekst, verdeeld over vier zinnen en in romeinse kapitalen in kruissteek: "DE LANDBUOW IS ONS LUST / DE VEETEELT IS ONS LEVEN / ALLES WAT WY HEBBEN / IS ONS VAN GOD GEGEVEN." Daarbij zijn de letters "O" en "U" in het woord "landbouw" in de verkeerde volgorde geplaatst. Onder deze tekst in rode wol "TER GEDACHTENIS VAN / ITM / KVV".
