Цей регіон розташований трохи правіше центру знімка file:Geological diversity in western Mare Fecunditatis.png.
English: Meniscus hollows, also known as "irregular mare patches" (here - bright features on the rims of largest craters) on the Moon, in northwestern Mare Fecunditatis (1.97°S, 43.33°E), in a dark (probably covered with pyroclastic deposits) region near several small volcanoes. One of them is seen in the left, it is part of 10-km-long chain of such volcanoes (Zhang et al., 2018). Behind the right border of the image the lunar dome Me1 is located, which is interpreted as a small shield volcano (Lena et al., 2013, p.97-99). See Stooke, 2012 and Braden et al., 2014. Photo by Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, taken with Narrow angle Camera (NAC) 7 October 2016 from altitude 76 km. Sun elevation is 23.8°. Width of the image is 3.8 km, north is approximately up (somewhat to the right). This region is near the center of image:Geological diversity in western Mare Fecunditatis.png. |
