Description
English: Diggers take time off from Operation Matilda to carry out running repairs to their armoured personnel carrier (APC). The men, from B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, were taking part in the largest Australian armoured force assembled since World War II. Matilda involved forty-four armoured vehicles and 270 soldiers in a 150 mile sweep in an eleven day push through three provinces searching for the Viet Cong (VC).
