JOHN MORLKys DRAWINGS. 283 grandson of the fourth Duke of Bedford, murderedin 1840 by his valet Courvoisier, 50x40, 280guineas ; and John, sixth Duke of Bedford, bornin 1766, died in 1839, in blue coat, 50x40, 130guineas. A few choice modern pictures and drawingswere included in the sale of May i6th, when theproperties of the late John Morley, of UpperClapton ; and the late Charles T. Lucas, of 9,Belgrave Square, and of Mr. W. Houldsworth weredispersed. The Morley property included thefollowing drawings :—Birket Foster, Holm WoodCommon, with sheep, ducks, and figures cartingbracken, 13x28, 300 guineas; and a view nearArundel, with children and a fiock of sheep,13 X 28, 2IO guineas ; six examples of W.
