| Description |
English: Memorial where Archbishop Sharp was murdered Set in the trees of Bishop's wood on Magus Moor this is where the Archbishop, who had been complicit in the execution of some covenanters, was waylaid in his coach and murdered on the 3rd May 1679.
His killers were hunted down and principal amongst them, David Hackston of Rathillet was hanged and quartered at St Andrews. |
