Summary
[edit]DescriptionMemorial to Thomas Müntzer in Frose (6243617953).jpg |
Thomas Müntzer (1489-1525) was born in Stolberg in the Harz Mountains, 50 km southwest of Frose. As the tablet says, he was briefly the Provost at Frose, but he is more widely known as one of the founders of the Protestant Church in Germany. He was a contemporary of Luther but the two men differed on a number of fundamentals. This memorial to him is on an external wall of the Church of St Cyriacus. |
